Seoul Sisters Touch Rugby

The Seoul Sisters’ branched out and set up its own touch rugby side in
2008, aptly named the ‘touchesses’. Touch is a great alternative
for those who aren’t so keen on the contact aspect of tackle. But
many contact players also enjoy playing touch. We have a solid
base of awesome players from New Zealand, Canada, the States, and
England. Players enjoy social practices and games every Saturday
morning at the Jamwon Rugby pitch near Apgujeong from about
10am. Then they compete in the bi-monthly touch tournaments
organized by the Korea Touch Association. The season culminates
in the ITS – the International Touch Seoul tournament, held in
September.
Players with no experience are more than welcome, we are always looking
for new players. If you are unfamiliar with the sport, touch is played
with an oval shaped ball, it’s easy to learn, non-contact so it’s safe
and suitable for men and women. It’s also a fast game, which
relies on passing and teamwork. Our season starts in March and
wraps up around November.
If you are interested in getting involved, or have a women’s team that
we can play against, please let us know. We can be reached by email at seoulsisters827@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on the touch field.
